Someone once said that power is nothing without control. That is very true. You can have all the power in the world, but it’s not going to get you anywhere unless you know how to use it. Alpine skiing is a very technical sport. When I say someone is a great skier I think his technique is great, the way he controls the forces of nature and uses them to his advantage, to help him get faster down the mountain and around the gates. A skiers most important resource to speed is gravity.
