@A.: Cuche crashed in one of the last gates of the run - while being fastest at the time ;-) - and well, it really didn't look good and he seemed to have hurt his right hand. First rumors were that he broke his thumb, but I don't think there's been an official statement yet...

Kjetil really did great today - hope the Vikings can pull that off again tomorrow! :)

Kjetil's 2nd run really was awesome, I hope he can pull off two similar runs tomorrow and maybe we will see two Vikings on the Podium (with Aksel on top of it, of course :))

Kjetil's 2nd run had the 2nd best time, he has awesome 2nd runs;-) In Soleden he had the 1st time if I remember correctly, and also in some other race later in the season, do not recall in which one now. But we have to agree his style is awesome. I know it's Aksel's website, but I assume, warm words for his teammate are also allowed;-)

About Didier - I did not see his run, could watch only first 10 guys, only saw he had dnf. What happened? Anyway he is the toughest cookie, so I am sure nothing stops him, but I do hope he will be all ok!

@Not Bode and other talking about skis: well, I am all for innovation and new solutions, if they only make sense, but I have to admit that I am probably the only person still liking long old skis. I do not know exactly why, but somehow I have nothing against skiing on them, they somehow give the feeling of a real challenge and effort.

If you want to know more about double decks, there's plenty information online. Some things are really just crazy like the vario cut version, that is the one that changes the width of the top of the ski. Basically double deck is as simple as it sounds - there are two decks of the ski;-)

The run looked, well, tough, funny to watch as the difference in style of skiing of Aksel and Ted was really visible, but still the difference in time, almost nothing, 0,01 sec I guess. Very very cool. Cannot wait for the 2nd run, though, my work will suffer a bit, but whatever, I am keeping my fingers crossed;-) ooh, and Kjetil, I still love the way he skis, it makes me feel calm.

and how cool is that the bells from Adelboden were transported to Slovenia, have you seen? I do not know why, but I absolutely like those bells as a prize. I think it is the funniest prize in the skiing world cup (apart from the cows that Lindsey got).!

I really enjoy the variety of these pics. Love the posing professional looking ones as much as the more natural holiday snaps. And of course the ski pics. I love photos in general too tho'.

That competition is nothing for me. I'm not that competition type, haha. Well, you have to publish your personal data and you always get back waste clutter... But have fun with that Ski-competition: Don't guess wrong guys! My tip: 6 Gold Medals.

Think Aksel looks good both in natural pictures and in photoshoots - the only time my head didn't think "oh la la ;)" was when I saw the pictures of Aksel with big curly hair! Made me smile and laugh tho ;) But he's cute..yes he is! :)

Is it the right moment to share a funny off-topic story? In the morning, the guy at the gym was exercising only in his briefs and small t-shirt. He was with his physio and obviously had forgotten exercising outfit and could not exercise in jeans, but anyway, that was something I had not expected to see when I entered the room. Thanks Lord I can pull off a poker face! Mixture of laugther and embarassment is hard to hide thought, it was a challenge ;-)

in this case, the photoshoot picture we see here is the only way to see the "Wildest Outfit Combining Shiny Suit Jacket With The Racing Suit" that is the holder of the top position in The Ranking Of The Outfits We Only Speak About But Never Expected to See in Real, as I guess that Aksel does not wear this combination on a daily basis (that would be beyond hilarious though);-) So about this picture I do not dare to complain, especially because it was posted with nice good intentions. And indeed it is cool and quads do look real. ;-)

About the pics in general of people in general, I agree that the more natural ones, without make-up etc are more nice than the photoshoots (Some photoshoots are ok though, they can be even stunning and very artistic), but very often they just look artificial and you can hardly even recognise the person.

About Aksel and the pictures: I do not think he can be blamed for having commercial photos taken, that is the part of the job. If you have sponsors who make your sporting career possible, you have to pose with make up from time to time (ok, the lipstick is crossing the line, but it;'s not a case here). Of course, I suppose if someone would not be able to accept some photoshoot ideas or something, they could oppose, but if you have sponsors you basically have to accept the photoshoots as such.

It's a good and entertaining business idea, on the one side to market all the products, himself and those of his sponsors, on the other side he can build up an image, a facade of himself: a strange, aloof and unreal persona. Well, and the most buy and love that (except of some few commentators), by the look of it. The strategy works well! But I wonder and ask myself, where is the authentic loveable Aksel? Are you on your way to Kranjska Gora? There is really wonderful cave in Slovenia. The name of the cave is Postojnska jama. I have been there twice. It was an amazing experience. The special cave train carries visitors underground and then guides accompany then through the stunning cave. I recommend it to everybody. :)

The photo is an unusual idea but as you know I don't like the photo like this. ;)
