New helmet for the Olympics

Posted on 05. February 2010 04:57 - 104 comments

New full carbon helmet for the Olympics. I think it's sweet. We have to get a lot of new equipment for the games. The normal helmets, goggles, gloves++ have too big logos, so either you have to tape over, or you need new stuff. In this case the new stuff rocks!

Thats a good one haha!! Maverick the Rambo-Rabbit

@Mimia
Was ???

In a week is the olympic downhill.... It gives me quite nervous, if i think at it! I wonder how feels Aksel about that...

I don't meant to destroy your awesome spying plans, but I'm afraid there's one serious problem:

Quarantäne-Vorschriften

@Switzerland you want to brainwash the rabbit? Hopefully you won't turn it into a carnivore. That could get dangerous.
I can already see the headline:

Hase attackiert Olympiazuschauer

@Christiane

Oh, it's a pity that they won't wear these colourful jackets, but I sort of expect that, it's usually that countries prepare a new designed clothes for games. These colourful jackets seem to me really nice, I like them a lot :-) However the most importat thing is that clothes and all equipment are completely confortable to racers.
Look at the inside part of the helmet, it's red, so cool! (hope I see right) That gives me a feeling that it's loaded with lots of energy, just about to "explode"! hehe?

During the Olympics the guys won't use their crazy and colourful jackets but the official Norwegian olympic clothes. They are mostly in red, blue and white and quite boring if you ask me:-)
You can find some images here:

I'm not totally sure about the race suites but I guess they will be different from the normal ones as well, at least it was like this at Torino 2006. I guess it will be something in red, blue and white as well and work fine with Aksels new helmet.

Ans as I have too much time on my hands just now I'll also answer the questionnaire:

1) blueberry. Or lemon. Although chocolate's never wrong. (I managed to go past starbucks today without buying anything, btw. Yay me!)
2) my scarf. hand-made by my mom, 3.5 m long and with blue and black stripes
3) rollercoaster of course. the faster the better.
4) my pillow
5) white with grey dots.

Okay, finished work, time for a comment. Sorry, I`m interrupting some posts in German here :) Honestly, I`m not sure about the helmet... It`s like a piece of art I really can`t understand. Well, if the goggles are black and the jacket is red the helmet could be quite cool. BUT, together with the paint-ball jackets it will be just too much, or too funny :)

And my question for today (however, I don`t expect an answer, I`m just sharing my thoughts). Personal, I would prefer the equipment I was used to - my own gloves, goggles and helmet, which was well used and shaped. Aksel, do you really appreciate the new equipment, or if it was up to you, would you prefer your own stuff?

Longstockings, I can`t commenting without answering your questionnaire:
!) Puh, thanks for saying cupcakeS; dark chocolate cake and apple cake!
2) My new running shoes (sorry, I`m out of fantasy there)
3) Roller-coaster, but it has to include some loops, though!!!
4) Stockings, this is an old one :) Don`t you remember your last questionnaire? However, it`s my glasses - which I should use, but always forget to use. Thanks!
5) White, but they are four-sided and very nice :)

I know that can be used to describe this;-)

Re comments: of course, there are so many of them, I read them all though, it;s just not always possible to address everything while answering, taking into account that posting here is not (hopefully) the only thing that people do during the day! I think it's kind of charming when you read the posts, and suddenly you see that everyone is in their own world a bit, you have a mixture of topics and stuff. got to go now, cu!

Ok here is my challange for you ;-)
You understand ? :-)
@Christiane

@ A - hehe - yeah "Spionage - Karnickl" is a brilliant one.

hey, i am impressed by your German, honestly girl, you re doing very fine.

Future tense: ich werde....... i will

@Watson: danke, "langweilig" was what I was looking for, ;-) No, it's not my first language, German. I wish I knew it better, actually. As far as I am concerned, any knowledge of any language does not hurt, but I totally have no occasions to practice speaking german, so my confidence is far away from good;-)
and I actually find it pretty funny sounding, do not know why, especially when the TV commentators talk about sports and grandiose Leistungen, if I spell it correctly;-)

I am, however, not able to construct any funny sentence in german, and dass ist schade. If only I remembered the grammar for the future tense, I would try to practice...

anyway, I have to agree, that english has some cool words too. But Spionage-Karnicke sounds much better in german! ;-)

@ pipi - i agree with you. it is like "out in the real world" (god we are turning into nerds here haha...), some need more attention, others dont.
I m just an arrogant arse hehe (excuse my language, but obviousely i prefer english just because all of the lovely options to express your feelings on the spot (aka : swearwords)) and i answer myself if nobody else does haha. dont know how many questions i asked him already - and NEVER got an answer!!! but, come on, if you really expect a conversation here, you re in the wrong place. this can only happen face to face. and as you also said: he has much more important things to do. just put yourselves into his position. the guy is glad about every proper break from all the "public", i m sure i would.

i was thinking about them jackets also.... will they be there during the Olympics??? mind you, they would try and kill the helmet in a colour fight.

I really don't understand why people who don't have German as their native language love it so much.

@Christiane Well I use my own code, and I'm not confinded to theses topics (except Aksel would wish to do so, haha) No no! Hey guys, we live in a democracy!!! But really like your ideas.

@Aksel You're an upright athlete, real 'ideal'!!! ;p)

@- who are you? Well, sometimes Aksel answered others (is found), I really noticed that darlin'' (not me I'm sure, pipi is not such a sweetheart- or loveable-mum- type...)! But I'm absolutely conviced, he read all the comments. That should be enough. He really has more important things to do. I never expect him to answer (please note: try to avoid personal questions, questions in general than you'll never be belied, haha). Come on, don't be a vain chick, like LOL [code] sometimes is, she needs the answers, then she is soooo happy for the rest of the day. Some needs more care and a great deal of attention than others. These are the different types of mankind. ;p). Write and think with us all! :p)

@ everyone (including "-"!) -
suggested topics from now on:
- weather
- world politics (jeez...)
- garden work
- hobbies
- new films
- pets (esp. goldfish)
- winter fairytales
- men and women
- more plane stories and date desasters
- favourite (selfmade!) food
- jobs (to stay a little serious)
- stupid VIPs

that should do for the next weeks of talk without having to mention any names being connected with advertisement or sponsorships or sport games.

I guess my interpretation of the Rules was right, as the changes in the website show (the logos in the bottom are left, you see, I guess they too have to be removed, just sayin' and probably the olympic rings from the homepage! If the homepage which includes the blog is treated as the blog itself) LOL Of course, it is weird to be right about the interpretation of absurds, but I will not go into this anymore. I will abuse Cookie Mama's Kitchen for that, if you know what I mean.

@Sabine: ok, it would be logical to me when it comes to the equipment as such during the races. But apparently the rules are inconsistent, as the blogging rules forbid any commenrcial hints and make no exception for the equipment (just for the official sponsors of the Secret Event). I will research it;-)

The helmet is really cool, I will say it once again. All the helmets look boring compared to it.. It is also quite hot, if you ask me. I hope the other elements of the outfits would be equally awesome.

Important question: what would happen to the "we-took-all-the-colours-from-another-parts-of-the-universe" jackets? I hope they will stay, they must stay!

@Pipi: Nice code;-) DR P.d.C. rules;-) I agree with a lot what you're saying but it would demand a more detailed discussion, and as I said, I would not like to get into one like that here, at the moment, because I would have to present my partly political theories about it, and I am not sure if that's a right place here....

@ A - yeah, i thought the same about the red thingi on the side. so small and already a logo???? hm, well, if the norwegian hero shakes his head too quickly everybody will go like tennis watching trying to figure out what this red flash on the side of the helmet is which they seem to be seeing all d time.....

@Sherlock - um, know the feeling of being observed. i always put on my miracle glasses and change into Kermet the frog straight away.... usually works. but for some reason i always get these guys in white coats coming up tryin to stick me into a big van and drive me to this biiiiig building in the middle of nowhere... still have to figure that one out.

05. Feb 13:31 - pipi ( in positive nasty mood) ;p) said:
Yes, that pic raises spirits. Black is really hot, expressive and offensive! :p))

But what's about these reiterate questionairs? Sorry, I can't do anything with it. ;p)

The COI [u know] officials, a cluster of very, very, very important people, who are really barking mad, inconsequential, canting freaks (bit too much, sorry). But that's usual for all officials and their rule-orientated constructionism, rule-conformism, constructures of exemption clauses... a really bloated machinery. In the end a lot of wasted personal ressources for an unproductive output: an economist would evaluate: inefficient. And the *Cipylo Aedi* they want to hold in high esteem and holyness is just an ideology (in their blinkert heads). The good, ok a bit naive, Mr. P.d.C. at that time really wanted something great... But concerning the present day, the discussions turn on such important things like: *Coke*, *McD* & Co. yes, that's okay, that's 'holy' in the name of the 'Idea'. But never use and show *Birger Kung*, *Pipse*, *blue cow*... that's 'evil' - damnation! ;p)
[Not so bad to use a Backward Masking code, but that's better in audio-rec words, than in written words; mebbe changing the vowels, shortcuts]

I see serious challenging situations coming up my dear friend Sherlock, we have to really work out a revolutionary and intelligent (what???) plan to be able to keep our sensible heads up in the upcoming weeks and the public pressure they will be bringing with them. I do have the cars' tanks filled up to their limits and organised secret office stations so we can stay invisible for the IOC spies. In the meantime i ll be waiting in MacDonalds (officially Burger King of course! No, hold on - the other way round. Shit, i forgot.) and keep my eyes on Bugatti and Audi R8 drivers passing by. Uncle Charlie is great help! Him, Peter and Paul changed identities (even i dont recognize them anymore!)
Waiting for further information.

Them hemelts rock! Somehow they would really go well with a Spiderman suit! In colour - combination - perfect.
