Aksel Lund Svindal, born December 26th 1982 in Lørenskog, Norway, is a Norwegian alpine skier from Kjeller. He won the overall 2007 AND 2009 Alpine Skiing World Cup.
Now the Olympic period is over. That means I’m again allowed to have all my sponsors up on the website. For any athlete the companies you work with are a big part of the team you put together to achieve your goals and reach for your dreams. I’m very happy to have all of you as part of my team. And even though some of you were not allowed be with me in Vancouver, you’re a big part of this. THANKS!!!

The finals in Garmisch Partenkirchen are done and the world-cup season 2009/10 is over. My last two races were both parallels. First a charity race for Right To Play. I skied for the Audi team. Then the team event today, where I failed my team and went out in the last gate. Kjetil did a good job, but it wasn’t enough to beat the Swedes. But I did win something. Last night there was a big party. The traditional Audi Night. A great atmosphere and all the racers together for one last night before we all go home. They had awards and my teams Michael Jackson tribute was highly appreciated. I was the only one from the team there, and when I went up to receive the award they started playing “Beat it” and wanted me to dance. With no one else around it was tough, but I took the challenge and laid down some SICK moves... haha! If you haven’t seen the dance you should click on this link and check it out.
