Aksel Lund Svindal - personal site
Aksel Lund Svindal, born December 26th 1982 in Lørenskog, Norway, is a Norwegian alpine skier from Kjeller. He won the overall 2007 AND 2009 Alpine Skiing World Cup.
Olympics are the biggest and greatest competition you will ever take part in as an athlete. In fact it’s bigger than the racers we do, and just being a part of it is an amazing experience. The history and the traditions go far back. A part of the traditions also affects the athletes in different ways when it comes to media, endorsements and communication. We get new race equipment with smaller logos and new clothing without sponsors. As you can see I have also removed some of my sponsors form the website, as they were in competition with sponsors of IOC or the Norwegian Olympic Organization. This will also affect other content on the website. You will see less photos in the blog, as this is also regulated by IOC and the content will be mostly about myself. I’m not allowed to report from the Games. Tough regulations, but I’m sure we’ll make this work. Stay tuned for the 2010 Olympic Games!
